Overtime an established central heating system can and will develop some form of water leakage. This sometimes happens when the boiler is replaced.

The old boiler worked with a small header tank located in the loft so was not under a lot of pressure.

The new boiler is now pressurised and the header tank no longer needed. The pipe work has only been tested on low pressure so when converted to high pressure a leak may happen.

These types of leaks may not show up straight away, they can cause damp patches to appear on ceilings and walls, even pressure loss from the central heating system. These leaks if left, can cause damage and need to be located and repaired.

This is where the thermal imaging camera comes in, it can locate the water leakage and point you in the right direction to repair the leak.

The central heating system if not treated with an inhibitor will suffer from sludge build up within the boiler, radiators and pipe work.

Sludge puts pressure on all working parts within the heating system and will overtime cause blockages within the system causing a system breakdown.

Checking The Powerflush Has Cleaned The System

Once the powerflush has been carried out, the thermal imaging camera can be used to check that everything is clean. Images can be taken and stored then forwarded on to the customer with a report on the condition of the central heating system.
